What is Considered Income?

In all states, the following are considered sources of income:

• Wages from employment
• Social security
• Payouts from investments
• Dividends from stocks or bonds
• Inheritance 
• Pension benefits

If there is a source of monthly funds not listed, it is still most likely going to be considered income. However, it is always in your best interest to check with the Medicaid program coordinators in your state. You can do this by calling the number listed by your state in the section below!
